The Houston Dynamo unveiled their new training field, the Methodist Champions Field, at a press conference today held at the Houston Amateur Sports Park south of downtown Houston. Sponsored by The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine, the Methodist Champions Field will be home to most Dynamo training sessions, effective immediately. Though it is not a full-fledged stadium, the Houston Dynamo’s brand-new practice facility has the club feeling it is finally establishing roots in Houston.
On Wednesday the Dynamo celebrated the grand opening of the Methodist Champions Field at the Houston Amateur Sports Park, which will serve as the team’s training facility. The Houston Dynamo will wear special white jerseys with purple and green lettering for their Earth Day game against the New England Revolution on Sunday, it was announced today.
Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis modeled the jersey, featuring jersey partner Greenstar Recycling’s purple and green logo across the chest, at a press conference Tuesday afternoon at the team’s offices.
